This book covers every single canal tunnel ever built in England & Wales, including the most recent examples on the Huddersfield and Rochdale canals and those that have disappeared or were never even completed. Almost every entry is accompanied by at least one B&W photo and themajority of tunnels are given a whole page to themselves. Also included is a comprehensive list of tunnel lengths, and each entry also has directions for those wishing to explore further than the pages of the book. There are a few other sections which deal with such intricacies as portals, vents and even ghosts!
