Rose Skinner's Cabin Lace

Instructions for Rose Skinner's own cabin lace design (assumes an ability to crochet). Rose Skinner and her husband Joe were the last of the horse-boat owner boatmen, retiring in the late 1950s. They then continued to live on their boat Friendship at Hawkesbury Junction near Coventry; the boat is now in the National Waterways Museum. Rose's original crochet pieces can be seen at Audlem Mill.
