Robert Aickman and Tom (LTC) Rolt first met in 1944 on Rolt’s ex-Shroppie fly boat Cressy, and in February 1946, with

Charles Hadfield and Frank Eyre,

they founded the Inland Waterways Association.

We currently have a good selection of books from  “The Canals of the British Isles” series, started by Charles Hadfield in the 1960s.  These are second hand, as all are long out of print.
